Reasonably good solution manual

I'd recommend getting this for anyone who's taking a class with the associated textbook. It's often difficult to understand what to do on assigned problems, since the text itself is a bit obtuse. Subjects that constitute whole mathematical classes are treated in one or two chapters, so if you don't have extensive previous exposure, you'll likely need this. There are occasional typos, but otherwise it'll make your life easier.

This is a very helpful companion to Mathematical Methods. I was disappointed, however, that it did not include solutions to all of the problems, but only a fraction. This is generally enough to provide sufficient help with the problems, but I felt mildly duped.
The solutions themselves are occasionally not as useful as they could be as sometimes the author does not take sufficient time to make her method or reasoning comprehensible. Usually, however, there is sufficient explanation to be helpful.
Overall, I recommend this book as a handy companion to the text.

only solves every third problem and solutions sometimes skip steps but I'd be lost without it so I'm glad I bought it
